Help!

I'm using the new,graphical "Ultimate Map Editor". It edits the
general.mix file which is on the CD-ROM. I extract the maps, edit
them,and then save the file, but how do I use the new general.mix
file? 

Obviously, I can't copy it onto my CD-ROM. Is there anyway to get
C&C to use the new general.mix file I've created?

Any help is appreciated
