Anyone still got Command & Conquer 1 DOS and want to play multiplayer
over the internet? We can use GIT
(http://www.morpheussoftware.net/git/) to connect multiple LANs over
the internet.

I still have a 486/66 running dos 6.2, runs it just fine. Kind of makes you
wish you hadn't sold off those old comps as you bought new ones doesn't it?

Far tougher was getting Space Hulk to run, so far the only thing here that
will run it is a toshiba 2150cdt laptop, and that won't run forever.

Hi recover,

With DOSBOX you can emulate a DOS computer on your XP desktop:
 http://dosbox.sourceforge.net/information.php

For sound issues use: http://sourceforge.net/projects/vdmsound/

I've already tried DOSBox, which works pretty well, except for the
sound hickups.
VDMSound work *perfect*, although I want it to play perfectly in
dosbox because I'm trying to record something in-game (is it possible
to run vdmsound *inside* dosbox or something like that?)

Thanks anyway.

Configure DosBox correctly and you shouldn't have a problem.

VDMSound is programmed specifically to run in Windows. The only thing
that VDMSound does is emulate sound. That's it. The VDMSound was long
ago integrated into DosBox.

Yes, I've heard that before, although I have not been able to
configure DOSBox correctly to play Command & Conquer without sound
problems, but I have been able to configure VDMSound to do it...
I would be grateful if you can tell me the correct settings.
