I am running a HP Pavilion 7955, P4 1.5GHZ, GE Force4 MX 440.

The game recommends 1.8 GHZ for multiplayer. So, I was kinda worried when I
bought the game. I upgraded my memory to 756mb, thinking that would help.

The game runs OK in single player, but there are a few issues. The movies
are a little jerky. This is very subtle, but you can see it. I get some
visual artifacts and dropped textures, although they are small. I plan on
buying an ATI Radeon 9700 to correct these things.

The regular game play seems fine. When the movies play, I can really tell
that the comp is "working". I have the feeling that this is the beginning of
a new generation of games that will require those of you with five year old
comps to get out your credit card again!

No you don't need a new graphics card.
My son installed onto an AMD 1.2 system with a GF2 (64MB) card. It went on
first time.
It runs fractionally slowly for my liking but he insists the playability is
fine.
