what i have learned is to only play with friends
most people online are dweebs, jerks and idiots
seem more interested in showing how stupid they are
just read the messages in the chat area
half love to be thrown out for language
the other half are playing with themselves

i guess the really serious people leave quickly, so only the neaderthals
(sp) are left

does the game u are playing allow u to ally with a friend an play against
the AI?

Yes it does.  I'm playing RA2 and Yuri's Revenge.  I've got some
friends in Colorado, California, and Texas that I can go head to head
with, but I'm more addicted than them.

but no side by side? "shoulder to shoulder and backs to the wall"? (ala
Davey Crocket and the private from F Troop Private Duffy at his retelling of
the Alamo)
RA2 an Yuri do have alliance abilities.. that way they can be on your  side
and you can share tactics, etc during the game
Max and Doug and I do that all the time with TS/FS
