I had never played c&c b4 until a few weeks ago. I downloaded the demo and it ran fine on my 50mhz pc (its all ive got, im very skint and only got c&c cos i thought it would work) in fact it ran perfectly, so i went out and bought the game. Got back and id bought c&c95,which runs extremely jerky and slow ( because of the screen resolution i believe, as the covert ops disk which i got with it runs fine from the demo). Is there any way i can either convert c&c95 to the older version, ao force the demo to read from the 95 cd when it asks for a cd, (when i installed the 95 version on top of the demo, it now asks for the c&c cd instead of running the demo). Akternately does anyone know where i can download the dos version - hey i know its illegal but i already bought the game and the shop wont take it back, and theres no way i am buying the thing again. Thanks a lot anybody!! ( i would appreciate if you could maybey reply to jimmyb...@aol.com, or if you cant be bothered then just here and i will no boubt see it)

Why not? I went out and bought a second copy when C&C95 came out. -- The Whimsical Reycov http://whimsical.cjb.net http://galanet.cjb.net (under construction)

I went out and bought a second copy when C&C95 came out. There is a way to enable the Dos mode in C&C95. It's been a long time since I did it, basically you should copy all the files from directory "Setup" in Covert Ops cd to HD. Then you need to copy all the smaller *.mix files you find (perhaps also some on the C&C95 disc). After that you need to get the setup.exe file from C&C demo, copy, and run it. Now everything should work fine. -- The Ambiguous Antti an...@adjective-army.com UIN: 46168834

not that i know anything from nothing regarding a PC have you tried launching the win95 version from your dos? (ie start your pc, then goto "start" "shutdown" "restart in dos") may not work, but then again, if it does, the 50 mhz maybe good enough to run it just nicely again i sux at pc issues, but this maybe possible...seems i recall reading it somewhere at least my answer is trying to be helpful...hehehe -- Fight Win Prevail But Never Cheat "U02gtt" <u02...@aol.com> wrote in message news:20010308104232.00602.00000285@ng-cb1.aol.com... > I had never played c&c b4 until a few weeks ago.
