My opponent saw me coming and took off but the orca maintained its target lock even after the apache took off and tried to fire on it. My opponent was wise to this trick though and kept the apache moving around. As I'm sure you know the aircraft are all reluctant to fire on moving targets. Eventually he just moved his apache over to where he had some anti-aircraft stuff set up and I had to break off the attack. I don't it's possible for an apache to to the same to an orca. Orca's fire rockets which can be used against aircraft. Apache's use the same chaingun that guard towers use and we all know that guard towers can't do squat against air support.

Since they move so much it is difficult and not very effective.

Effective, no. Distracting, yes. I targeted my enemy's orca with an apache when the orca was grounded. He took off. But the apache followed the orca until it landed and resumed firing. He took off again. And again. And again. He had no air defense set up - it was early in the game. Eventually, the orca got blown up, but while he was vainly trying to save it, he wasn't doing anything else. Joe D -- We're not laughing AT you, we're laughing AROUND you!
