Kali is a TSR that allows IPX network compatible games to be played over TCP/IP connections (SLIP, PPP, and even SLIrP I'm told)... Basically, almost any game that can be played over a LAN can be played via Internet on Kali -- Command & Conquer, Descent, Warcraft, and One Must Fall 2097 are the best (from what I've heard) performance-wise, but Doom, Doom 2, Rise of the Triad, Heretic, Hexen, etc. can also be played, albeit not very prettily unless you have a direct internet connection or an ISDN line... The shareware version can be picked up at alot of places -- I don't know any off the top of my head, but a Webcrawler search for "kali" will yield dozens of sites with info and download options... One sore point though -- the sharware version times out after only 15 minutes of playing a game (i.e., it dumps you), so don't expect much fun unless you register... I don't think Kali is very expensive, so it might be worth it... I have a rule, though, that I NEVER register nagware or crippleware, so they'll never get my money -- I'm currently searching frantically for the registration code generator, but no luck yet... If anyone wants's to mail that over to me, feel free... :) Good luck to you, dude... -- Craig M.
