I've just tried CTRL-ALT to get one unit to follow and guard another, but come up against a rather nasty problem. The guarding unit inists on trying to get into the same square as what it's supposed to be guarding, so the guarded unit is constantly moving to get uot of the way. I've tried this with a tank and a minigunner and the poor minigunner just runs around all over the place trying to get out of the way. This effect is worst when trying it on a harvester. The harvester is continuously getting knocked out of the way by the guarding unit and as a result, is much slower at harvesting. Any ideas on this one? PS. You can't guard with Orcas... shame, a nice bit of airbourne support would have been neat... -- Mr Zap!, aka Chris Adams, HR Development, Oracle UK Work: cad...@uk.oracle.com Home: chr...@luna.co.uk WWW: http://www.luna.co.uk/~chrisa #include <std_dislaimer.h>

Yeah, don't use the CTRL-ALT combination - it really does hinder more than help. To guard harvesters, it's better to send out a few units of your choice to the general area of harvesting, and set them all on 'G'. If you're NOD, sending about 5 bikes out there is great protection from air and ground (with one APC to squash any annoying infantry). =========================================================================== -NAME- Richard Green -EMAIL- Gre...@rikk.demon.co.uk -IRC NICK- "Flyer2" --------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you find yourself spending large amounts of time using a Chat facility, remind yourself that you are talking to the type of people who will spend a large amount of time using a Chat facility. ===========================================================================
