Another reason I dislike MSIE is that Billy-Bob > Gates has this great vision of PC merging seamlessly with the > internet. I don't want that. The truth is: MSIE, after so long being developed, only holds a margin of the market share (I've heard 12% but don't quote me) Not everyone uses Netscape, but a lot of people do and you can tell on a lot of pages that Netscape is basically considered synonymous with the web. I was seeing some sort of plugin the other day for Netscape that lets Netscape use ActiveX stuff by letting netscape re-interpret activex embeds as embed src's where you get the same basic page effect in netscape. I didn't download it yet, but that in my opinion will corner out the one tangible advantage i see IE having over netscape. I finally began making myself a homepage recently (I'll post a url when I've got one for you). I have already applied for membership to Silicon Valley/Pines to publish it for free along with other pages I make. Now, I have buttons endorsing Netscape Navigator and IE, but thats as far as I'll go........ I won't force passerby to get a whole new browser program just to see my wee little page....... Only in certain instances, where I need to use the advantage of something more advanced, like having realaudio or something. Since I can't expect everyone to use them........ I'll just endorse 'em, not force them. On another note, I think that this browser war, postest to all the wrong places and far too many places, should either end or at least stop being crossposted all over the place and confined till it dies. I regret having replied to this thread once again. Slipgate
