I know it was directx, (more directx than Red Alert :))

You misunderstood me, I didn' change the Win95 config for about 4
mounths nor I installed any new program, and 'till two days before that
stange behaviour it worked all very fine and very stable. really nothing
was changed.
It's like the "randon rename" bug, Win95 once renamed (just for fun ?)
one desktop icon to something strange, I had to shut down to dos to
delete that wrong file and type win again :)
Ahh, before you ask:
Win95 is installed that way I can shut down and start 95 like the old
Win3.11 without ever needing the so called "DOS-Mode", I even removed it
from the shutdown-options :).
