Red Alert 2 video choppy

While playing Red Alert 2 on my WinXP based PC, I'm finding the "live
feed" videos that occur during gameplay....they're choppy and don't
seem to play well at all. After looking at the readme files that came
with the game, there's an explanation on how to fix the problem using
Windows 95 or 98...not XP. I tried to find the "supplemental cache"
for my CD in WinXP, but with no luck.

Can anyone suggest anything?

Thanks;

Steven
