The SVGA one is obviously prettier, at a higher resolution, and the Windows 95 version. The VGA one, for DOS, is just fine, and is A LOT more stabler than the one for Windows 95. You can only buy one kind of Red Alert, and it includes both the Windows 95 and DOS versions in the installation. Don't worry, installing both versions doesn't chew your hard drive's memory away, the only difference in size is a couple of hundred kilobytes for the application, since they both use the same data files. Let me warn you though, the Windows 95 version is very unstable (on my computer at least), and it crashes a lot for me. If the Windows 95 version crashes a lot, use the DOS version. I found that the Windows 95 version only crashes me when I use certain apps, which I have written down. An example of one of those apps would be mIRC, a big no-no for me, hehe. Good luck my friend.
