"Michael Miller" <mick...@tangnt.com.au> Was guite Verbose about; >Heres the story. >I have a 686 P120, 2 mg Cirrus logic Vid Card, 16 mg RAM and am running the >game through Win95. >C&C original slows down dramatically when things are happening (attacks and >that sort of thing). The mouse movement becomes unbearable, jumping all >over the place and the mouse button clicks just do not seem to work most of >the time. Because of these delays I am getting fried most of the time ie. >unable to direct my troops during an attack. >Prior to this my humble 486 dx 4-100, 1 mg video card, 16 mg RAM and also >running through Win95 ran the game extrremely well with no problems. I have the same problem, the game ran well in DOS until I installed Red Alert. Now, with RA deleted, I can't even get the game to run at all.Others I've talked to say the dx drivers westwood supplied with RA, have altered settings in my bios.Gateway confirmed this and has promised to tell me how to reset it. Westwood, naturally, sends me form letters telling me about new products.I presume that's their form of a denial. "The Akagi didn't sink! We dismantled it to make 160,000 Toyotas!"
