Although I much prefer C&C to War 2, I have to say that Westwood dropped
the ball with Red Alert. There's a severe game imbalance that tilts the
advantage towards the player who builds tanks quickly. I had hopes at one
time that Westwood would address this serious multiplayer problem, but they
seem content to count their money, which is disappointing to me. And
where's a patch for RA after all these months? I guess it was more
important to get C&C Gold and Counterstrike done rather than patch the
game.

You'll find plenty of buyers. Diablo is one of the best games to be
released in the last few years. It's safe to say that your view is in the
minority.

Diablo runs very smooth on my P-120. Red Alert takes a long time to load
and save games, but beyond that runs ok. I don't think Westwood did a good
job of optimizing the code.

Hard for me to stand up and cheer the AI in either game. Diablo, on the
other hand, has very good creature AI.
