Sounds like you're playing against someone who doesn't build proper air
support, be it helis or planes...and who doesn't build things like pillboxes,
flame towers, tesla coils, etc. And more importantly, doesn't know better than
to group them together, rather than just build one to stand alone in a field.
Tanya's are sooped-up Commandos, and thus, they have the same
weaknesses...she can't fight well against vehicles, she can't deal well with
good gunnery installation setups, and she has no hope when it comes to being
attacked from the air. Couple that with the fact that she doesn't fight
automatically, and she's really weak unless you build bases poorly or you
simply don't pay attention.

Same thing with cruisers...they can't defend against air units or subs (yes,
you can have other units do it for you, but that's not the point). And, if
you're having problems with cruisers shelling your base, don't build too close
to the water...and to get that sub depot/naval yard, string
pillboxes/flametowers out to the waterline....that way, the cruisers most
definitely won't hit what they're aiming at....and to take care of the chance
of it going wide and hitting another building, spread things out more.
