So anyone met there wife/husband over a Bulletin Board System?

 This is true.

Having bought an Amiga I loaned my trusty C128 machine to a woman friend I was
somewhat involved with. She was stuck in the house a lot and couldn't get out
so she needed some way to meet people and the BB's seemed a good way to do
that.

While on a system she met this guy. One thing led to another. E-Mail became
phone calls (which was expensive since he lived 2000 miles away), they had a
visit and were soon after, married. She then moved back with him to Canada
where they are happily married, have a new baby and are still paying off the
phone and Email bills.....

The C128? It was their wedding present.

I did.

I was running an FRP game on a local board. She was one of the players. I
eventually hooked her with a better terminal and fresh-ground coffee.

Well, not wife, but I met my girlfriend on soc.singles. We exchanged
some friendly letters, nothing steamy, then we met when I was on a
business trip from North Carolina to New Jersey where she lived. Six
months later I took a transfer to New Jersey (I was already looking
at Bell Labs there when I met her). Two years later I was really
burned on Bell Labs and New Jersey, and had to get the hell out, so
I moved to California; she followed a few months later.

Almost 4 years now and we're disgustingly happy with each other,

My last two SO's were met through a local chat system, (and my last two jobs)
were acquired through chat systems or Usenet.
