As long as we're discussing killer TECO hacks, here's some stuff from the
local DEC-10. I'm sure I can get the Macros to anyone that wants them. (I
also get a kick out of using the internet to access the thing).
It was a lot more impressive pre-Emacs (I came across this when we were
programming the other campus mainframe with punchards!).

TECO (Text Editor and COrrecter) is a very powerful, character
oriented text editor (and a programming language to boot!). It can do
all sorts of tasks that would make other text editors run home
screaming in terror. For a whacky example of a complex TECO program
see HELP SEWER.

There is a POCKET REFERENCE CARD for TECO (very nice) for sale for
$0.30 in T258.

[Excuse me while I smush myself]
You are sitting in your little mud hut in Piing Poong eating your bowl
of rice when all of a sudden a typhoon blows in. The resulting flood
washes you out of your hut and into *TA DA (ominous music, etc. etc.)*
***The Sewers of Piing Poong***
Your mission, should you decide to accept it (and I certainly hope you
do. The sewers are not the nicest place to live), is to escape from the
sewers and return to your little mud hut and wait for the next typhoon.

You are in a small domed room. Noxious sludge is flowing out of a pipe
in the east wall, through a ditch, and disappears through a vaulted
arch in the west wall.
Small patches of light are showing through the holes in a manhole
overhead.
