Over in comp.unix.wizards there is a thread called "Re: Stupid man pages". It's pretty amusing, but ... Does anyone remember a man page for a *fictitious* command called flog? This one came with Edition 6 PWB and detailed a command that took some options and one argument, a process id that it would attempt to speed up. The options controlled the number of lashes (if not specified, 17 would be assumed, this being "the most random random number"), among other things. Also, if no process was specified, it would print "flog you" and exit. I used to have a hard copy of this, but I seem to have misplaced it. Does anyone out there have the complete text, and how about posting it here? -- Bruce Walker ...uunet!utai!lsuc!isgtec!bmw bmw@isgtec.uucp "Remember Rule Number 79: When the tough get going, the weak get screwed."
