A well known Swedish missile-construction company had developed a new
and fancy anti-tank missile. Everything went fine, but on the nth
demo flight it began to rain whereupon the missile immediately took to
the ground.
This caused some head scratching until it was realised that the
digital steering system had 256 positions for the control surfaces.
When it rained, the missile was pushed downwards by the downpour. The
elevators tried to keep it on course and got angled more and more
upwards, through positions 125...126...127... -128 *SMACK*!--
