My vague recollection is that the left-middle panels on the plain-vanilla
/65 were blank; I dug out my ancient FETOM for the box last night, but
the only picture of the front panel in it is from a very oblique angle
and it appears to be empty.

One possibility would be that the lights and buttons on those panels
were for the backup batteries that were unique to the 9020. What are
the legends on the indicators and switches below the empty socket?

Also...on the lower left front panel there is a row of lever switches.
On a normal 360/65 the rightmost switch (just above and to the right
of the RATE switch, which is over the green START button) was unused,
and at many shops bogus legends were added (such as "EXTRA SUGAR").
Is there a legend on your panel?  I can't see it clearly in the picture;
the upper legend appears to be blank but the switch is in the down
position and obscures the lower legend.
