>Who really cares about seeing a >large ugly box with lots of tubes if it can't actually DO anything? Me! I made a special side trip to Boston for the express purpose of seeing "a large ugly box with lots of tubes"! Or *many* "large ugly boxes". After all, this place *is* a _museum_! This is *history*! The place is fascinating. The "back room", which a kind staff member showed me, was even more so -- all sorts of historic items hiding back there. (Although I heard rumors that many items were being disposed of, due to lack of storage space. An unhappy situation, if true.) -- John G Dobnick (JGD2) Computing Services Division @ University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee INTERNET: j...@csd4.csd.uwm.edu ATTnet: (414) 229-5727 UUCP: uunet!uwm!csd4.csd.uwm.edu!jgd "Knowing how things work is the basis for appreciation, and is thus a source of civilized delight." -- William Safire
