Literally, the example I thought about is the Copenhagen wheel, an all-in-one electric assist bicycle wheel. You just swap it in for your regular wheel, and presto, electric bike! An idea that's really not bad at all, except...the thing is utterly and completely useless if you don't have a bluetoothy smart phone running its app. As the man said, "I am not able rightly to apprehend the kind of confusion of ideas that could provoke such...."
