|DDT - Dynamic Debugging Tool
|
|I seem to recall this from CP/M or HDOS (the Heath Disk Operating System),
|I think there was one in Tops-20 too ;-) ;-) ;-)
A knowledgeable answer has already been given (Hi, Fred!) -- Digital
Debugging Tape appeared in about 1965 for the PDP-5 (and -8),
successor to the more simple minded ODT (Octal Debugging Tape). So
ddt is nearly thirty years old.
A footnote on the name found in the old phonebook manuals for the
PDP-10 (pre-"TOPS-10") would be mildly amusing, if you could find a
copy.
