On a side note, I had an even worse nightmare. A fellow *programmer* told me essentially the same thing, in all seriousness! I was trying to introduce a new program to the shop where we worked. This was a tool we'd need to use just about every day as part of our build process. I gave him a brief verbal introduction and left him with the manuals. He later asked me another question, which I explained, and another, and... I finally asked if he'd tried looking in the manuals at all? "No, of course not. It's a waste of effort for everyone to be an expert with the same program. You're the expert, so I come to you with my questions."
