Revenge:

This is not exactly a revenge story but:

An AT&T employee had one of the new 6386 machines. Well he stored his masters
project on the machine and had completed all but the 2 final days worth. One
day A friend of mine asked what practical joke could we play on him. The idea
came up that we would recreate in his autoexec.bat what looked like a Low
level drive format. And because of the machines speed if he had just rebooted
it would wiz up to the cls and wait (the break was off) asking to press any
key. then finally the the program would print up what would look like the
format screen and with the correct answers to the questions and begin
formatting. Actually all I did was redirect a dir to a file, then delete it.
I pu this in a loop and it would keep doing this until reboot. We initially
also created a way to create a new autoexec.bat that would print out non
systems disk. But we removed that because the User had been using a lot of
no doze to finish the project. But it did have the desired affect. The next
monrning the user came in hit any key and watched as the hard drive went into
action. At this point his face went blank, his jaw dropped and he slammed
the power switch off all the while using new and inventive words. When
he  turned on the machine we were laughing so hard he figured he'd been had.
