Yea, the government has rules on buying computers. So, just
last summer I was ready to go down to Picatinny Arsenal to
install some new software on their new computer. I am talking to
the guy and ask, "What size disks should I bring, 3.5" or 5.25?"
He replies, "Umm, well, I am not sure... aren't you bringing the
computer?"
I mumbled a reply and said to hold on. We then told him someone
in inventory screwed up and we would have to hold of a week, we
just shipped out our last computer by mistake.
Well, no one had told me that the slip had been changed to hide
any reference to a computer. Rather it was "Test System". And
my manager was too clueless to have noticed either. So, two
weeks later they got their "Test System" installed.
