It is common in railroad facilities to find a picture on the wall of an old train, a current calendar with old pictures, or an old logo on the wall. Likewise, there are numerous museums with both static and actual-operating exhibits of trains and trolleys. Steam engines are enormously expensive to keep running, but a number of places do so. Conversely, personally, FWIW I've never knew of any nostalgia in any I.T. facility, and the only I.T. people I know interested in computer history are those in this newsgroup. The only computer museum I know of is the one in California*, while there are many train museums. I had a few pictures of tab machines at my desk and my co-workers thought it was foolish. I've visited the IBM archives, and let's just say I never had a problem finding a parking spot or had to wait in line. (I don't know about the Charles Babbage Institute). *Hopefully I'll be able to visit that someday.
