Before all those old punch-cards turn to milldew in your back cupboard, I'd like to get a decent collection of the various personalized cards used by various institutions. I have a reasonably complete set of cards from Bell Labs (all showing bell symbols from various periods) and a good set of cards from Carnegie-Mellon and Carnegie Tech, but I'd like to get my hands on others, preferably unpunched, but in a pinch, I'll take them used, as long as the logo or other corporate identification is readable. If you're interested in preserving this bit of history, mail some samples to: Douglas Jones 816 Park Road Iowa City, Iowa 52246 Please, no jokes about e-mailing cards to me, but if you want to trade, I've got stacks of blank Bell Labs cards (modern Bell symbol) culled from blank comment lines in old programs of mine from the time I worked there. To trade cards with me, enclose an addressed envelope in the envelope you send me a card in. I'll pay postage on the return cards. (BTW, another commodity I'd like to get my hands on is some chad.)
