My roommate recently installed a large hard disk on his Sun 4. Because the
room was so noisy with fans, he tuned the radio to the drive so that he
could hear it seek. At other frequencies, you could hear the data going
   to the drive.

We were trying to hack the timer circuitry on a Canon As-100 (really weird, like
an combination of a IBM-PC and a failed graphics workstation). Since the system was
CP/M-86, it was a pain trying to figure out if the once-a-second timer was running or
not. So, we tuned the radio onto "the frequency" of the machine, and suprise, suprise,
you could actually hear the timer going tick tick tick once a second. We tried all
kinds of things, and finally got the timer acting the way we wanted it.

I'd call it a wireless in-circuit debugger :-)
