A 2 gig hard drive might sound roomey now but there will probably come a day when it won't be large enough to hold the computers opperating system (ie.100meg drives were once thought of as huge ,now there's not enough room to fully install Win95 on them) > Of course, it is computer builders who do all the "memory is cheap, > disk is cheap" mantra, knowing that it is usually they who end up > being paid to do the upgrade. > > And a computer builder that implies the two levels of quality are home > use and military spec is a builder to avoid. Have you ever tried running win95 on a system with a lot of small hard drives? ,after a while there isn't enough room on the drive you installed windows on to hold all the components that other programs add to it during their installs ,gets to be a real pain in the neck. > > Alecto.
