I work for a very large nationwide service provider that is seasonal in
nature during the early part of the year.  I asked my boss about Y2K and was
told that the media is making too much of a big deal over it. 

So apparently the company isn't too concerned about it.  However, from what I
understand, the government agency that is related to our service won't be Y2K
compliant until about 2012, so if their computers go down, then our business
will drop greatly as well.  Oh, we can provide the service manually, but it
will mean a lot less business, hiring more workers to do the work, and much
lower productivity.
