I have produced a program which takes as input a string of
English characters (punctuation is ignored in this version) and
outputs
a Bible Code
a reference (e.g. Genesis 1:1)
and a contiguous section text of the King James Version
of the Bible starting in the reference.
The Bible Code is a set of character-to-character translations which
when applied to the King James Version of the bible will translate
the contiguous section (not including punctuation) of the Bible
into the input string.
Limitations:
So far the program has failed with some inputs
greater than 30 characters. That is it can find
"We the people of the United States" but not
"Lee Harvey Oswald killed John F Kennedy"
If you are interested in obtaining the program, email me.
If you are interested in helping me adapt the program to
Hebrew, email me.
If you are interested in applying the algorithms
to a different version of the Bible or different
works (Shakespeare anyone?), email me and I will
see what I can do.
