Forgive me for not looking it up, it's late, but I 
believe the apostle Paul says something to the effect:

Now you are no longer Gentile or Jew, servant or free,
Woman or Man, all are equal in the eyes of God.

Forgive our sister for her extra exclamation marks, she's
upset with you, and the both of you are trying to prove
your points by beligerant assertions. (oops, forgot, this
is the net, you don't have to look each other in the eye).
Females were not created as "suporting players" but as
"helpmates".
