Not only did you completely ignore the facts about increases in
productivity from automation and computerisation, which I put you right on
in an earlier posting, I now see you're determined to blame your country's
apparent economic decline (I wish Britain was suffering a 'decline' like
yours, mate!) on equal opportunities and the promotion of women into
management!

Strange then that of the most successful business people under the age of
35 in Britain in 1996 nearly half were women, eh? Considering that the
proportion of the sexes in senior management is something like six-to-one(?
- I wait to be corrected on the actual figure), this does completely
destroy your argument. And when the Equal Opportunities Commission did a
survey of women managers in business, do you know what they discovered?
That their biggest handicap was the misogynistic attitude of males (just
like you in fact) who sought to undermine their position and authority
because they didn't like the idea of having a woman boss! In other words,
if that's too complicated for you to appreciate, the biggest problem is not
the women managers themselves but the prejudices of the men who work under
them. And that is from the EOC, not from me.

Please, anon, if you are only going to spout ignorant nonsense, PLEASE do
it in your attic, not clogging up these Newsgroups. I'm sure we have better
things to read about.
