How many times a day do you see these stupid MMF ('Make Money Fast')
posts? You know, the chain letters that claim you can earn $50,000
from $5...
All MMF posts are chain letters based on a pyramid scheme.
If the pyramid at any point involves the U.S. Post Office, it
is _illegal_. See
http://www.usps.gov/websites/depart/inspect/chainlet.htm
for details on this.
Furthermore, the scam doesn't work--it CAN'T work! How many
times have you read (or skipped over) these posts without
sending money? A dozen? A hundred? A thousand? Response rates
must be terrible!
Let's be "optimistic" and say that 1% of everyone who gets a
MMF post dumped on them responds with money. Also, say each
participant sends 200 spams.
1 person sends 200 spams, 2 people respond
2 people send 400 spams, 4 people respond
4 people send 800 spams, 8 people respond
8 people send 1600 spams, 16 people respond
16 people send 3200 spams, 32 people respond
*poof* you're off the list.
So, even on a good day, you don't make $50k. Why, you don't even
make enough to pay for the initial visit to you're new lawyer!
:^) Chain letters are a BAD INVESTMENT.
Consider also what happens when people put themsevles on the
list withoud sending the money. Think about it.
