I always enjoyed reading what he had to say; he was what you
might call "lively."  I got into it with him once or twice about
something; ironically I was right and he was wrong.  He took it
well, though.  Could he be prickly?  Sure; who isn't from time
to time.

He did a huge service to those who want to learn from history by
keeping the legacy of the PDP-10 and TOPS-20 alive.
