What I miss is taking out those magazines and reading through them, or even just glancing through them. I have the "good" articles (though my interests could change) but that's not the same thing. Luckily, a lot of them have been digitized and I can download them, but reading on an ereader isn't the same either. It's not like buying the magazine at the newsstand decades ago, and hurrying home to read it carefully. I miss magazines in general, because they've gotten expensive, and seem to have less of interest per issue (I'm not sure if that's me, or the magazines are printing less of interest). There are some great deals, subscribe to some digital magazine program and get endless magazines for ten dollars a month, I'd try to read them all, but I'm not sure I want more digital stuff coming in. Magazines are a place away from the screen. Every so often I find some exotic magazines at used book sales (as opposed to piles of National Geographic and Architecture Digest) and that's fun, kind of like the old days when magazines were cheap and I'd sample different things for the sake of something new. I got National Geographic on DVD a few years ago, over a hundred years for twenty dollars, and I still haven't installed it. Nice to access specific articles, but not the same thing as going through the boxes uncovering things. Michael
