I kind of enjoyed the special effects after I turned of my physicist brain. I never bothered with any of the others except that I had to take my kids to The Phantom Menace. I would have fallen asleep if it hadn't been so noisy. (The critics all hated JarJar Binks. I thought he was the best thing in the movie. :( ) As for asslusions the John Carter, Buck Rogers, etc deriviations were obvious, but who among us would have picked up on 21-87? (certainly not me.)
