The CLR is similar to the JVM but it supports a wide range of languages. "Managed code" running on windows runs on the CLR, not directly on the hardware. I don't know how many Microsoft products are written to run on the CLR--the ones written in C# and Visual Basic will but C++ crosses boundaries. >The logo is copyrighted.
