Huh. I can read Wikipedia pages with my "new" browser: FF 2.0.0.13.
But I get multiple pop-up windows reporting that login.wikimedia.org
and upload.wikimedia.org use an unsupported crypto protocol. No easy
way to determine what FF wants to fetch from these other servers --
possibly images although I get at least some images if I enable it in
the browser.
Of course I don't trust the net not to attack me but neither do I
trust the complicated process of certificates and crypto itself not to
be penetrated far beyond my level of awareness. So I wish sites whose
proprietors want to use crypto would just negotiate the protocol and
use whatever protocol (or none) that my browser supports. For any
case where I really care, I take pains to minimize any harm that might
arise from a successful attack and use a relatively up to date
browser.
