Got it from a friend who'd bought it and couldn't figure out how to work it. Burned a copy of her OTA Three Stooges tapes (and a family reunion) to DVD for her, using a $4 thrift store VHS player. I'll probably never use any of it again. But if the need arises, I'm ready. Once I had to get a bunch of disks converted from one format to another. The source format was something wierd that I couldn't handle myself. Got it done from a local subcontractor. Went to his office, which turned out to be the former garage of a ranch house, and though it was filled with elderly and dusty gear thought "this looks like a mechanic's shop". Then he came in, wearing one of those pinstriped shirts with a name badge that you see auto mechanics wearing. Turned out his other gig was as a tow truck driver.
