OK, since it's quiet... How many people have had dealings with the Honeywell DDP-516, or related machines? I know one version of the 16 series was the ARPAnet TIPs, but I'm wondering about the ones that weren't. I played with one a bit back in the early 1970s - I implemented a program on it (a very portable one, but that was my first): http://www.ml1.org.uk/impl-i.html Unfortunately I never kept source code, although it would be trivial to do it again. More interestingly, I modified the CPU! I changed the effect of soem instructions to make it more suitable for virtualisation. More here: http://www.bobeager.uk/anecdotes.html#CPUhack Perhaps this will stimulate a bit of discussion. -- Using UNIX since v6 (1975)... Use the BIG mirror service in the UK: http://www.mirrorservice.org
