The W9 was developed to be used with the purpose-made M65 cannon with a range of 20 miles. It was a 15 kiloton weapon with an effective blast radius less than a mile. It was succeded by the W19 with similar specifications. The W23 was a repackaged W19 for use in 16 inch naval rifles with 20 mile range. The W33 was for the 8 inch howitzer with 10 mile range. It was configurable as a 1 kt or 40 kt explosive. A 40kt nuclear weapon has a blast radius of about 2 miles. The W79 was also for the 8-inch and was a subkiloton weapon with blast radius around half a mile. The W48 was for the 155. It was a subkiloton weapon with a blast radius around half a mile. The range of the 155 is 14 miles. >Then >there was the nuclear device that could be carried by one man. > >I was driven around the Washington Beltway once by a relative who >lived near there.
