What was amusing was that I was reading hobby electronic and ham magazines, as many as I could get my hands on, so I was reading higher than my grade, but that apparently didn't count. I picked the Get Smart book as "escapist" reading, something different, not because it was "simple". I ended up rereading "Have Spacesuit WIll Travel" by Heinlein, which starts with him refurbishing a space suit, sort of on the level of what I was doing after school in hobby electronics. Michael
