Oooooh, I tried not to, I really tried not to.

 But I had to.

I ran webster on both analog and analogue and yes both are
there, BUT THEY"RE DIFFERENT!

to wit:

an.a.logue \'an-<\e>l-,<o.>g, -,<a:>g\ n (1826)
[F analogue, fr. analogue analogous, fr. Gk analogos]
1: something that is analogous or similar to something else
2: an organ similar in function to an organ of another animal or plant
but different in structure and origin
3: a chemical compound structurally similar to another but differing
often by a single element of the same valence and group of the periodic
table as the element it replaces
4: a synthetic food product made of vegetable matter (as soybeans)
and used as a meat substitute

and:

2 an.a.log \'an-<\e>l-,<o.>g, -,<a:>g\ adj (1946)
1: of, relating to, or being an analogue
2a: being or relating to a mechanism in which data is represented by
    continuously variable physical quantities
2b: of or relating to an analog computer
2c: being a watch having hour and minute hands

In other words, and according to _AN AMERICAN DICTIONARY_,
analog can mean analogue, but not necessarily the other way
round.

And does this mean that early computers were made from
soybeans?

P.S. I'm really sorry, I just couldn't help myself.
Really, don't flame, I just throw them away anyways...
