I like neither COBOL nor the IBM computers I have used. I have no basis for thinking that the combination of programming in a language I dislike on a machine I dislike will be a euphoric experience. DISCLAIMER: My IBM experience is limited to the opposite ends of the size spectrum. It is possible that I might enjoy working with the midrange (currently, the AS/400). However, from what I have read about them, COBOL isn't really popular on those (I am willing to be corrected on this point). DHT "There are reasons to program in COBOL, or on IBMs. Their are also reasons to vacation in Saudi Arabia this summer."
