My favourite semi-hidden message was inside Design Design's "Forbidden
Planet" for ye olde Sinclair Spectrum. I flew my spaceship through a green
square I obviously shouldn't have flown it through ("If it moves, blast it!
If it doesn't, blast it anyway! If it's square, fly through it!") and the
game stopped and produced the following message:
Uh-oh! Something's gone wrong with the program!
Phone XXX-XXX-XXXX and quote the following number: HHHH
HHHH was a hex number, and the phone number was a valid Manchester number,
but I didn't call them up. (Coward, I know.)
