UMASS at Amherst is running PLATO on a Cyber 835 for course quizzes, it is used very heavily and they are in the process of getting PC clones for terminals because the old Vikings are dying left and right and CDC no longer makes them and parts are incredibly expensive. There are still alot of games on it, available only to those who know about them, know how to get at them and can manage to get an account that can run them, probably about 5 people at this point, There is Avatar, Omega(I think thats it), a flight battle game with multiplayer capability and some others, they are pretty cool if you like spending tons of time figuring the stuff out with zero docs. I know of two people who play Avatar regularly, one is an operator and another is a friend of mine who is the tutor programmer for the computing center there, I think his boss is the only other one there who knows Tutor. If I remember correctly my friend's father is THE Plato man around the country still (friends name is Steve Morin, I dont know his fathers). There are rumors of the Computing Center getting rid of the 835 cause it costs like $60k a year to maintain and CDC rents out leased lines to a Plato system at the company for a hell of a lot less.
