I nearly slapped myself silly one time while taking a beginning C
class. I accidentally used puts(string) instead of fputs(string) ---
and couldn't figure out how the hell this newline was getting put in
after it. Took me about 35 minutes of debugging, checking, changing
something, didn't work, change it back, ... Argh. Ah, the joys
of learning a new language...
Or, how about programming on the Apple GS, messing around in Assembly
language. There just happens to be a battery-powered ram area, easily
accessible, which resets itself if the CRC doesn't match the data
written. So all the system setup, clock, etc, gets reset to factory..
Was wondering why it was so late (around 2 am), and yet my clock said
12:00 am...
