At the place where my wife works, there was a bunch of pranks played on
some of the new programmers hired.  My favorite was one of a simplest:
somebody added a time delay into her LOGIN.COM file (VAX VMS, folks).
Like the above modification, it added a few seconds each day to the
delay.  It was up to 10 minutes before she figured out why it took
her so long to log on...
